Alfonso "Poncho" Camacho Bustillo is Co-Founder of Lightbox Wealth and a quantitative finance specialist with over 25 years of experience across wealth management, capital markets, trading, risk management and financial technology.

 

Alfonso has held senior roles across Citigroup's Markets and Private Bank businesses, working with institutional investors, family offices and ultra-high-net-worth clients. His expertise lies in combining rigorous quantitative analysis with a practical understanding of investment objectives, translating complex financial concepts into strategies and tools that apply directly to client portfolios.

 

His experience spans traditional investments through to derivatives and structured solutions, giving him a deep understanding of portfolio construction, risk, product design and the importance of ensuring investment complexity serves a clear client purpose.

 

Alfonso has a longstanding interest in applying advanced quantitative techniques and artificial intelligence to finance. His early research on neural networks for equity forecasting received first-place research awards, and he has since completed professional study in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence at Imperial College Business School. He also holds the Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF).
